That’s right because 2012 sets the 100th Anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic. The exact same route is set to be covered in a trans-Atlantic cruise.
This cruise vessal will leave on the 8th April 2012 as it is exactly 100 years since the Titanic left. Southampton will be the port in which this vessal is leaving from. Once it has left the port it will then stop at Cobh in Ireland in the same way that the real thing did to make the experience even more life like.
The ship is going to arrive on the spot where the Titanic sunk at 11.40 which is when it hit the iceburg. It is unlikely the ship will leave the area until 2am.2am was the time in which the ship sunk.
During these hours the ship will actually have a memorial service to remember the awful accident that occured here. There is going to be food from the time as well as historic lectures on board.
710 cabins are needed to contain the 1,350 passengers on top of the 150 crew members. Although this is the best gift for a history lover this isnt going to come cheap. This is truly going to be the luxury cruise of a life time.
