Cuba has always been criticised for keeping a tight hold on it’s people, but many of us had fallen into the thought that it was a more liberated country now. There is something that has happened in Cuba that the Government may live to regret for quite a while.
Once again Cuba has shown its true nature and has tried to quash the views and opinions of its citizens, by attacking an internet Blogger! A Blogger called Yoani, whom is a very influential Blogger in the Internet was beaten quite badly earlier this week. Cuban police quite often patrol the streets in plain clothes and after they had spotted her, attacked her and two other friends.
Tourism has started to boom in Cuba, and only recently, this has started to take off and improve. Now that this has happened, the government may need to show a softer side to their regime, to entice people to come back and hope that there isn’t quite such a big impact on tourism.
Most countries had thought that living standards had improved in Cuba since tourism started to blossom here, yet things seem to have taken a turn for the worse once again, and now it seems Cuba is plunging itself into a hole it will find difficult to dig out of. Attacking an Internet Blogger that is quite established in the Internet world, is probably one of the worst possible ideas, surely speaking to her about the issue is better off, this won’t look good for Cuba at all. Not to mention that she can spread her message to the entire world after it has happened.
Vacations have been damaged by the current economic climate in the last couple of years, but now they are returning on the increase, Cuba needs to get these holidays or lose money and investment, so what do you say would you like to go on a Cuba holiday, or maybe Maldives holidays, or some other Caribbean holidays sound like a better idea this year. Recently I embarked on Sri Lanka holidays, and thats not really a quite place, but I would prefer it to Cuba at the moment.
