There are some pretty amazing camping areas in Southern Utah. In fact if you are planing to take a Utah vacation you might want to consider spending your trip at a camp ground rather then a hotel, you see more nature and it is also much cheaper.
1. Fish Lake
Fish Lake is a perfect spot to go camping and fishing at. This Utah Lake is known for producing great fishing stories. It is also surrounded by the Fish Lake National Forests that has many great hiking trails and includes the world’s largest living organism, which is basically a group of tress that are all fused together.
There is just one word of warning I should give you this lake is a perfect R.V. camping area. If you decide to bring a tent you better come in the middle of the summer or you will most likely freeze.
2. Any National Park
Every one of the Utah National Parks are definatly worth the visit and by camping out at one of them you are able to see everything there is to see. Every one of these parks contains a camping section and they are all a pretty inexpensive way to go.
3. Green River
The Green River State Park is a wounderful campground because they have some nice fishing and it also contains a nice golf course so there is a ton of things to do on site. In addition to that it is also near 3 big national parks, Arches, Capitol Reef, and Canyonlands.
The wide selection of things to do definitely makes this a great spot to plan a vacation at.
4. Snow Canyon
Snow canyon is another nice place to stay at; this park is usually not very crowded and contains some beautiful lava flow caves. Like the green river this park is also next to some National Parks, Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon are both relatively close to it.
There are hundreds of spots to camp around the state. These are just a few nice camping areas which you might want to check out.
